CoreLogic Announces Keynotes for RiskSummit

open-micFormer Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty will be the keynote speakers at CoreLogic’s 28th Annual RiskSummit on July 24 through 26, according to an announcement from CoreLogic.

The theme of this year’s RiskSummit will be “Smarter Decisions Through Comprehensive Insights,” which, according to CoreLogic, reflects the “exponential expansion of technology and content driving the interconnection of disparate industries and markets.”

Chertoff, co-founder and executive chairman of security and risk management firm The Chertoff Group, will be the opening general session keynote speaker. Before co-founding The Chertoff Group, Chertoff was secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he provided intelligence analysis and infrastructure, increased the Department’s focus on preparedness ahead of disasters, and implemented enhanced security at airports and borders.

Pawlenty, two-term governor of Minnesota, will be the closing general session keynote speaker. Pawlenty is currently the CEO of the Financial Services Roundtable, which is the leading advocacy organization that works to protect the security, integrity, and success of the U.S. financial system. Pawlenty is recognized as one of the foremost thought leaders in the country; he is a leader with significant experience, having overseen a $50 billion biennial budget, 30,000 state employees, and managed 20 individual state agencies and departments.

“We are honored to have Secretary Chertoff and Governor Pawlenty as this year’s RiskSummit keynote speakers,” said Olumide Soroye, managing director of Property Intelligence at CoreLogic. “Secretary Chertoff brings timely and cautionary guidance about the cyber security threats impacting every stakeholder in the housing ecosystem. Governor Pawlenty will share his unique insight on the state of the economy and geopolitical views in this critical election year. Each brings their own perspective and intuitive understanding of two of the most critical issues facing our audience.”

CoreLogic is a leading global property information, analytics and data-enabled services provider headquartered in Irvine, California. This year’s RiskSummit will address the disruption, regulation, and innovation in the industry which is forcing the housing ecosystem to move beyond historical boundaries, expand its view of properties, and prepare for what is next, according to CoreLogic.
