According to a release, SVHOME is donating $200 to neighborhood elementary schools for every home sold in that neighborhood.

""We believe that by improving the quality of homes, we also improve the quality of lives, both for the new homeowner and the neighborhood,"" said SVHOME president Todd Hill. ""Often what was once the worst house on the street is now the best, raising property values and giving people more pride in their neighborhood.""

Checks will be presented to the ""schools"":http://www.svhome.com/giving-back/html/ on March 2 at SVHOME's main office in Los Gatos. The public is invited to the event.

""Our motto is 'renovate, restore and return,'"" Hill said. ""We renovate houses, restore neighborhoods and return something to the communities where we do business, both through our donations program and through the quality of our workmanship. We're proud of how we've built our business, proud of the quality we bring to the neighborhoods, and we're proud of our partnership with local elementary schools.""
